Since 1973, Bogue Milk Soap has been making traditional cold-process goat milk soap
in Ojai, California. Across three generations, our family has worked with fresh goat milk,
plant oils and butters, botanicals, mineral clays and pure essential oils—learning not only
what belongs in a beautiful bar of soap, but how the complete formula influences the way it
cleanses, lathers, feels and lasts.

five decades.
In traditional cold-process soap, goat milk works as one part of a much larger formulation.
Oils and butters, naturally produced glycerin, mineral ingredients, botanicals, saponification
and curing all contribute to the character of the finished bar. That is why we focus on the
complete formula rather than reducing goat milk soap to a single ingredient benefit.

Bogue's signature goat milk soap base combines fresh goat milk with more than twelve plant oils
and butters. Individual recipes may also include kaolin, bentonite, rhassoul and other mineral
clays, activated charcoal, colloidal oatmeal, herbs, plant powders, seeds, salts, coffee and
natural exfoliants.
These ingredients are not added simply to make a longer ingredient list. Depending on the formula,
they can influence hardness, glide, conditioning character, texture, natural color, exfoliation,
oil adsorption and the overall cleansing experience.
